The Felician View

Participants of the art program at the St Felix Centre, Toronto were asked a series of questions. Each question has a specific interpretation attributed to it. The answers to the questions are meant to reflect the hearts and minds of the artists, and to provide some insight into their psyches.

Questions & Interpretations

What is your favorite animal and why? - Qualities you like in other people
“The Otter, because it’s playful and it likes being in the water.”

What is your least favorite animal and why? - Qualities you dislike in other people
“Grubs and maggots. I don’t like the fact that they lodge into people’s bodies. No control over them. They eat away and make you sick.”

What is your favorite colour and why? - How you wish to be perceived
“Green because it’s alive and earthy. Kelly green is my favorite. A more yellowy green, but not lime green.”

What is you favorite kind of water and why?- How you perceive love/your ideal love
“Water tide pools. Holds all kinds of precious surprises, you know all the little sea creatures. Satisfies my curiosity!”
