I want to write more about my Mom and Paul, but things have changed. Paul's health has declined quite significantly and he barely speaks. When my mother does speak about him I get the impression that it is mean for my ears only, so I have decided not to share.
As Paul clings to life, she waits for him to die, so that she may gain freedom. His struggle burdens her, and it's almost like she's in an emotional and mental limbo - hating the pain of what she see's, but knowing it will eventually bring her relief.
I don't know when I'll write about them next. Maybe never.
But their story is far from over.
